Whatwonderfullworld.com – The National Citra Network (CNN) survey agency released the results of the latest survey on the electability of the names of a number of presidential candidates (Capres) in the 2024 General Election on Wednesday (8/6/2022).
The CNN survey was conducted regularly on May 16-30 2022 with a total of 2,200 respondents spread across 34 provinces and 478 regencies or cities.
Sampling of respondents was carried out proportionally by determining the sample using the multi-stage random sampling method. The CNN survey has a 95 percent confidence level with a 2.08 percent margin of error.
As a result, the electability of the General Chair of the Golkar Party, Airlangga Hartarto, was at the top of the CNN survey. In second place is Prabowo Subianto with 12.2 percent, followed by Ganjar Pranowo at 11.8 percent, then Anies Baswedan with 5.1 percent. While respondents who did not answer 22.1 percent.
The Executive Director of the National Citra Network, Ahmad Zaki, said that although many other figures appeared, from the survey results, Airlangga’s name remained very strong.
“We also measure the level of recognition and satisfaction of respondents with the work of presidential candidates such as Ganjar, Anies, and Prabowo,” said Ahmad Zaki in his statement.
As a result, 70 to 85 respondents knew the three figures. However, many respondents, especially those outside Central Java and DKI Jakarta, have not really felt the results of their work for the Indonesian economy.
“In fact, the respondents stated that they felt and enjoyed the performance of the policies made by Airlangga that had a positive impact on the social and economic life of the community during the Covid-19 pandemic,” explained Ahmad Zaki.
Ahmad Zaki also measured what the community wanted after the Covid-19 pandemic had subsided and was approaching the 2024 General Election.
“The majority of respondents, 96.4 percent, want the presidential candidate to be able to revive the nation’s economy and society. A firm figure and popularity are not really considered important by respondents,” said Ahmad Zaki.
According to Ahmad Zaki, this figure can be seen in the figure of Airlangga Hartarto, who is considered capable of evoking national economic conditions and economic problems during his tenure as Coordinating Minister for the Economy.
The CNN survey also measures the electability of political parties that will compete in the 2024 General Election. The Golkar Party occupies the top position with 18.2 percent. Followed by Gerindra 17.7 percent, PDIP 16.3 percent, PKB 5.1 percent, PAN 4.8 percent, PPP 4.4 percent, Nasdem 4.2 percent, PKS 4.1 percent, Democrats 4.1 percent.
The other party scored below 3 percent. The number of respondents who did not vote in this question about the choice of political parties was 10.3 percent.
Responding to the survey, political observer from Diponegoro University (Undip) Teguh Yuwono said that Airlangga Hartato’s electability has skyrocketed because the majority of respondents are satisfied with his work as Coordinating Minister for the Economy.
“I see that Airlangga’s top electability shows evidence of his work in the economic field, so that the electability of himself and the party has increased,” said Teguh Yuwono.
